Jak Roberto, in a heartfelt revelation, shared his struggles with the end of his 7-year relationship with Barbie Forteza. The former couple, affectionately called "JakBie" by fans, was admired for their real-life romance despite not being paired as an official love team.

However, as Barbie's on-screen chemistry with David Licauco gained traction, Jak admitted that the professional pairing took an emotional toll on him.
"Sobrang hirap, pero tatanggapin ko," Jak confessed. His jealousy and irritation stemmed from seeing Barbie with David in intimate scenes for their projects, including the TV remake Maging Sino Ka Man and the current hit series Pulang Araw. Viral photos and videos of Barbie and David, particularly one where they were hugging off-camera, were especially painful for Jak.
Despite understanding the demands of Barbie’s job as an actress, Jak couldn't help but feel awkward and hurt. "Alam kong trabaho lang iyon, pero sana naman isipin din nila na may nasasaktan dito."
Barbie, on the other hand, reiterated her professionalism and clarified that her sweet moments with David are purely for their projects. "Trabaho lang ito, at proud ako kay David dahil marami siyang natutunan bilang aktor," she explained in an interview. She also assured Jak that he would always hold a special place in her heart, even jokingly comparing herself to Rose from Titanic: "Jak ang forever kong Jack."
The breakup has sparked speculations about Jak's future. With his contract with GMA reportedly ending soon, rumors suggest that he might move to Net25 for new opportunities. Jak expressed hope for a fresh start while maintaining his love and respect for Barbie.
"Gusto ko sana, hanggang pagtanda kami ni Barbie," Jak revealed. But he has come to terms with their separation, citing professional reasons and external pressures as factors that led to their parting ways. "Kahit masakit, tatanggapin ko kasi mahal ko siya. Pero mukhang hindi na talaga magtatagpo ang mga bituin para sa amin."
Barbie and David’s on-screen tandem, "BarDa," continues to captivate audiences, with their shows consistently gaining strong ratings. As for Jak, fans await his next career move, hoping he finds success and healing in the next chapter of his life.
