Licensure Examination for Certified Plant Mechanics February 2024 Room of Assignment

 

The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) has unveiled the school and room assignments for the Licensure Examination for Mechanical Engineers scheduled for February 26 and 27, 2024, across various cities, including NCR, Baguio, Cagayan De Oro, Calapan, Cebu, Davao, Iloilo, Koronadal, Legaspi, Lucena, Palawan, Pampanga, Rosales, Tacloban, and Zamboanga.

Candidates are advised to prepare and bring the following items on the examination day:

Notice of Admission

Official Receipt

Two or more pencils (No. 2)

Black ball pens

One long brown envelope

One long transparent (non-colored) plastic envelope (for valuables and other allowed items)

Negative RT-PRC Test Results or a copy of the vaccination card.

A specific dress code is emphasized for both male and female examinees, requiring attire without logos, plain tuck-in polo t-shirts, and white blouses or shirts with collars. Comfortable slacks or decent pants are recommended.

Certain items are strictly prohibited inside the examination room, including calculators with embedded programs (especially CASIO FX991ES and CASIO FX-991ES plus), books, notes, electronic devices such as smartwatches and cellular phones, bags of any kind, and any other undisclosed examination aides.

The examination coverage for the Licensure Examination for Certified Plant Mechanics includes:

Elements of Power Plant Machinery:

Maintenance, repair, and operation of prime movers, including steam and internal combustion engines, hydroelectric plants, and other motive powers encountered in practice.

Shop Machinery Practice:

Operation of milling machines, planers, shapers, lathes, drills, welding, heat treatment, repairing of machine parts, and overhauling.

Elements of Industrial Plant Machinery:

Maintenance, operation, and repair of various industrial plant machinery and equipment found in sugar mills, lumber mills, ice plants, air conditioning plants, etc.

These subjects collectively assess the candidates' proficiency in different facets crucial to the field of mechanical engineering and certified plant mechanics.
