Ang Pinoy Dream Academy Season 2 contestant na si Hansen Nichols, na na-diagnose ng cancer, ay pumanaw na. Isa sa mga nagluksa sa pagpanaw ni Hansen ay ang kanyang kapwa PDA batchmate na si Bugoy Drilon.
Sa kanyang Instagram post, ipinarating ni Bugoy ang kanyang malalim na lungkot sa pagkawala ng kasamahan sa musika. "Hansen, my core friend, my brother. I love you so much and I am so blessed to have you in my life. You are such a beautiful soul! Our bond is one of a kind - so special and I wouldn’t change it for the world!" pahayag ni Bugoy.
Nagbigay-pugay si Bugoy sa kabaitan ni Hansen, lalo na sa kanya. "You always understand me you always think of people first more than yourself that everyone is always okay. You always believed in me. You always believed that I will make it in the journey and career that I choose and that I always do my best."
Binati ni Bugoy si Hansen sa kanyang matibay na laban at pagiging inspirasyon. "You fought very well and your hardest and I am so proud of you!!! You did your best to stay with us. You are a great warrior! I miss you so much I miss your laugh, hugs, and your wisdom! You are truly an inspiration."
Sa huli, nagpaalam si Bugoy sa kanyang pinakamatalik na kaibigan. "This is not a goodbye because I will see you again in Heaven. You are always in my prayers and I will always think of you through all the memories we’ve shared. Until then, I will miss you so much. My heart is pleased knowing that you are surrounded by love until your last breath. I love you, Hansen, my best friend. You mean the world to me. See you on the other side. Forever and always, Bugoy."
Kasama sa kanyang pagdadalamhati, nagbahagi rin si Bugoy ng mga larawan at video clips na nagpapakita ng ilang masasayang sandali kasama si Hansen.
Si Hansen ay isang cancer survivor na sumali sa Pinoy Dream Academy Season 2. Subalit, noong nakaraang taon, bumalik ang cancer sa kanyang katawan.
Bukod kay Hansen, may iba pang kilalang mang-aawit na kamakailan lang namatay, tulad ni Kokoi Baldo, ang finalist ng The Voice Season 2 at kinikilalang Bob Marley ng Pilipinas, na pumanaw sa isang aksidente noong Disyembre 8. Si Yohance Buie, isang contestant sa The Voice Kids, ay pumanaw din sa edad na 17 noong Nobyembre 11.
