The Fisheries Technologist licensure exams for October 2023 are scheduled to take place on October 25 and 26, 2023. These examinations will be conducted at PRC testing centers located in various cities, including Metro Manila, Baguio, Cagayan de Oro, Cebu, Davao, Iloilo, Koronadal, Legaspi, Lucena, Tacloban, Tuguegarao, and Zamboanga.
Here is a list of items you should bring with you on the day of the exams:
- Notice of Admission
- Official Receipt
- Two (2) or more pencils
- One (1) long brown envelope
- One (1) long transparent/plastic envelope (for storing your valuables and other permitted items)
- Calculators with the following functions only: addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, trigonometric functions, logarithm, and xy
- Negative RT-PCR Test Results, if applicable, or Certificate of Quarantine, or a copy of the Complete Vaccination Card for fully vaccinated examinees (to be submitted to the proctor on the examination day)
- Fully Accomplished Forms/Annex A & B (downloadable)
Regarding the dress code for the examination day, the PRC specifies the following:
For male examinees: A white polo shirt with a collar (without any seal, logo, or mark), and decent pants or slacks.
For female examinees: A white blouse or shirt with a collar (without any seal, logo, or mark), and decent pants or slacks.
Certain items are not allowed during the exam, including books, notes, review materials containing coded information or formulas, programmable calculators (such as CASIO FX991ES and CASIO FX-991ES plus), smartwatches, cellular phones, earplugs, transmitters, portable computers, Bluetooth devices, and other electronic communication devices. Additionally, bags of any kind are prohibited.
In light of the COVID-19 pandemic, the PRC has implemented the following health and safety guidelines:
- All examinees and examination personnel must wear face masks and face shields. Examinees should also bring alcohol-based sanitizers.
- Examination personnel will be provided with face masks, face shields, and latex gloves.
- Physical distancing of at least 1 meter between individuals must be maintained.
- Temperature checks using thermal scanners will be conducted before entry to the examination premises. Those with fever, colds, or cough will not be allowed to take the exams, but their payment will not be forfeited and can be used for the next licensure exam.
- Examinees are advised to bring their own food as they will not be permitted to leave the examination room during break and lunch times.
- Hand sanitization is required before entering the examination room, after using the restroom, and before receiving test questionnaires.
- The PRC is not responsible for any lost personal belongings.
- Please ensure that you adhere to these guidelines and requirements for a smooth and safe examination experience.
