The Electronics Engineering board examinations are scheduled to take place on October 22nd and 23rd, 2023, and will be held at various PRC testing centers situated in the following locations: NCR, Baguio, Cagayan de Oro, Calapan, Cebu, Davao, Iloilo, Koronadal, Legazpi, Lucena, Pagadian, Pampanga, Rosales, Tacloban, Tuguegarao, Zamboanga, and Palawan.
What should you bring on the day of your exams? Here is a list of items required for the examination:
- Notice of Admission
- Official Receipt
- Two or more No. 2 pencils
- Black ballpoint pens
- One long brown envelope
- One long transparent/plastic envelope (for storing valuables and allowed items)
- Calculators with specific features, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, trigonometric functions, hyperbolic functions, inverse hyperbolic functions, logarithmic (log/In) and exponential (e) functions, whole number or fractional power y of x (x ΚΈ), and polar to rectangular to polar conversions.
- Health Forms (in accordance with Memorandum No. 68, series of 2020)
- Negative RT-PCR Test Results (if applicable) or Certificate of Quarantine or a copy of the Complete Vaccination Card for fully vaccinated examinees must be submitted to the proctor on the examination day.
What to wear on the examination day? The prescribed dress code by the PRC is as follows:
- For male examinees: A white polo shirt with a collar (without any seal, logo, or mark) and decent pants or slacks.
- For female examinees: A white blouse or shirt with a collar (without any seal, logo, or mark) and decent pants or slacks.
Items that are allowed and not allowed during the examination:
- Books, notes, review materials, and printed materials containing coded information or formulas are prohibited.
- CASIO FX991ES and CASIO FX-991ES plus calculators are not allowed as per Memorandum Circular No. 2018-01.
- Smartwatches, cellular phones, earplugs, transmitters, portable computers, Bluetooth devices, and other electronic communication devices are prohibited.
- Any type of bags is not allowed inside the examination room.
For board exams during the COVID-19 pandemic, the following health and safety measures must be followed:
- Wearing a face mask and face shield is mandatory. Examinees should also carry alcohol-based sanitizers.
- Examination personnel will be equipped with a face mask, face shield, and latex gloves.
- Maintaining a 1-meter distance from others is required.
- Body temperature will be checked using a thermal scanner before entering the examination premises. Examinees with fevers, colds, or coughs will not be allowed to take the exams, but their payment can be used for the next licensure exam.
- Examinees are encouraged to bring their own food, as they won't be permitted to leave the examination room during breaks.
- Sanitizing hands before entering the examination room, after using the restroom, and before receiving test questionnaires is compulsory.
- The PRC is not responsible for any lost personal belongings.
