A few days preceding the November 17 & 18, 2023, Civil Engineer Licensure Exam (CELE), the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) is set to unveil the room assignments for the examination. Examinees are reminded to arrive punctually before 6:30 a.m. on the designated date, as those arriving late will not be allowed to enter.
On the day of the exam, participants are required to bring specific items, including the Notice of Admission, Official Receipt, a metered-stamped window mailing envelope, multiple pencils (NO. 2), black ink ball pens, a long brown envelope, a long transparent or plastic envelope for personal items, and, if necessary, Health Forms along with Negative RT-PCR Test Results or a Certificate of Quarantine, as stipulated in Memorandum No. 68, series of 2020.
In accordance with the guidelines outlined by the PRC, male examinees are expected to wear a tucked-in white polo shirt with a collar, devoid of any markings, paired with appropriate pants or slacks. Female examinees, on the other hand, must adhere to a similar standard, sporting a tucked-in white blouse or shirt with a collar and appropriate pants or slacks.
Moreover, stringent regulations are in place regarding items not allowed inside the examination rooms. Prohibited items include books, notes, review materials with coded information, programmable calculators, smartwatches, cellular phones, earplugs, bags of any kind (which should be replaced by the provided transparent/plastic envelope), and any other unmentioned aids. Examinees are required to surrender their personal belongings to the proctor, which will be securely stored within the examination room as per the guidelines outlined in Annex A of PRC Memorandum Order No. 57, s. 2020.
The November 2023 CELE will cover a range of subjects, including Mathematics, Surveying, and Transportation Engineering, Hydraulics and Geotechnical Engineering, as well as Structural Engineering and Construction. It is imperative that candidates adhere strictly to the regulations provided to ensure a smooth and fair examination process.
