The October 2023 Chemical Engineering Licensure Examination results and the top ten examinees are scheduled for release by the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) on October 18, 2023.
The examination occurred from October 14 to October 16, 2023, across various testing centers in NCR, Baguio, Iloilo, Davao, Legazpi, Cagayan de Oro, Rosales, and Cebu. Engr. Ofelia V. Bulaong, the Chairman of the PRC Board of Chemical Engineering, alongside members Engr. Shirlyn B. Chua-Reyes and Engr. Cezar S. Dela Cruz oversaw the administration of the exam.
The roster of successful candidates will be made available on this platform once the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) publishes the official results online. As per Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) Resolution No. 1589 of 2022, the anticipated release date for the results is October 18, 2023. Initial Registration and Prerequisites
The enrollment for obtaining a Professional Identification Card (ID) and Certificate of Registration will be carried out via online means and solely accessible through an online appointment. The PRC will also unveil the timetable for the online selection alongside the list of successful candidates. Here are the requisites for registration:
- Notice of Admission (NOA) for identification purposes
- Properly accomplished Oath Form or Panunumpa ng Propesyonal
- Passport-sized ID Photos on a white background and with a complete name tag (2 pieces)
- Documentary Stamps (2 sets)
- Short Brown Envelope (1 part)
- The official date for the recently registered chemical engineers' oath-taking ceremony will be disclosed later.
Prior Examination
The Chemical Engineering Licensure Examination is regularly administered twice yearly by the Professional Regulation Commission, usually in May and October. It is among the programs with a limited number of examinees, yet it boasts satisfactory passing rates compared to other programs.
In May 2023, 472 out of 801 examinees (58.93%) successfully passed the Chemical Engineer Board Exam. Christian Jay Balboa from De La Salle University-Manila emerged as the topnotcher of the exam with an impressive rating of 92.60%. He was trailed by John Vincent Yu from the University of the Philippines—Diliman, with a rating of 89.10%.

The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) announces that 651 out of 927 passed the Chemical Engineers Licensure Examination given by the Board of Chemical Engineering in N. C. R., Baguio, Cagayan de Oro, Cebu, Davao, Iloilo, Legazpi and Rosales this October 2023.

On December 13 - 15 and December 18 - 19, 2023, registration for the issuance of Professional Identification Card (ID) and Certificate of Registration will be done on-line. Please go to www.prc.gov.ph and follow instructions for initial registration. Those who will register are required to bring the following: downloaded duly accomplished Oath Form or Panunumpa ng Propesyonal, notice of admission (for identification only), 2 pieces passport sized pictures (colored with white background and complete name tag), 2 sets of documentary stamps and 1 piece short brown envelope. Successful examinees should personally register and sign in the Roster of Registered Professionals.
