A few days prior to the October 14, 15& 16, 2023 Chemical Engineer board exams, the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) Board of Chemical Engineering publishes the room assignments.
What should you bring on the day of the exam? Here is a list of items required during the actual examination:
- Official Receipt confirming payment for the examination application.
- Admission Notice.
- A metered-stamped window mailing envelope.
- Two or more No. 2 pencils.
- Black ink ballpoint pens.
- A long brown envelope.
- A long transparent or plastic envelope (for storing permitted items and valuables).
- Health Forms, as per Joint Administrative Order No. 01 (s 2021).
- If applicable, negative RT-PCR Test Results, or a Certificate of Quarantine, or a Vaccination Card copy for fully vaccinated candidates, to be presented to the proctor on the exam day.
- Calculators with the following functions only: addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, trigonometric functions, logarithmic and exponential functions, whole number or fractional power calculations (xy), and polar to rectangular to polar conversions.
Please note: Only one calculator with the mentioned features will be allowed inside the examination room, and all calculators will undergo thorough inspection by examination personnel.
What to Avoid Bringing on Exam Day:
- Do not bring any books, notes, review materials, or printed materials containing coded data, information, or formulas.
- Avoid bringing programmable calculators, especially the CASIO FX991ES and CASIO FX-991ES plus models.
- Refrain from carrying cellular phones, earplugs, transmitters, portable computers, smartwatches, Bluetooth devices, or any other electronic gadgets/devices that could be used for communication purposes.
- Leave any type of bag behind.
- Do not bring any other examination aids that are not explicitly mentioned.
What to Wear on Exam Day:
- Male examinees should wear a tucked-in white polo shirt with a collar, devoid of any seals, logos, or marks, along with appropriate pants or slacks.
- Female examinees should wear a tucked-in white blouse or shirt with a collar, without any seals, logos, or marks, along with suitable pants or slacks.
COVID-19 Protocols for Exam Day:
During the PRC licensure exams, strict precautionary health and safety measures must be observed:
- Maintain a minimum physical distance of at least two (2) meters between examinees.
- Examinees must stay confined to their assigned seats.
- Always wear a face mask, preferably a 3-ply surgical mask or an N95 mask, along with a face shield throughout the examination.
- Bring 70% ethyl alcohol for hand disinfection.
- Avoid close contact, such as "beso-beso," hugging, handshakes, and direct physical contact with others.
- Refrain from touching your eyes, nose, and mouth.
- If you need to sneeze or cough, use facial tissues to cover your nose and mouth and dispose of used tissues properly.
- Do not spit in public areas, on floors, or along corridors.
