October 2023 Metallurgical Engineers Licensure Examination Room Assignment

 

The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) will publish the room assignments for the October 2023 Metallurgical Engineers Licensure Exam several days prior to the examination. 

The examinations are scheduled to occur in various regions across the Philippines, encompassing NCR, Cagayan de Oro, and Davao, from October 4 to 6, 2023. The oversight of the exam is under the purview of the Board of Metallurgical Engineering, led by AGUSTIN M. FUDOLIG as the Chairman and JUANCHO PABLO S. CALVEZ serving as a Member.


What should you bring with you on the day of the exam? Here is a list of items to bring for the actual examination:


Proof of payment for the examination application fee (Official Receipt).

  • A single long transparent or plastic envelope to store your valuables and other allowed items.
  • One long brown envelope.
  • Two or more No. 2 pencils.
  • Black ink ballpoint pens.
  • A non-programmable calculator with the following functions: addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, trigonometric functions, logarithm, and xy.
  • Health-related documents as per Joint Administrative Order No. 01 (s 2020).
  • If applicable, negative RT-PCR test results, or a Certificate of Quarantine, or a copy of your Vaccination Card for fully vaccinated examinees, to be presented to the exam proctor on the day of the examination.


What should you avoid bringing on the day of the exam?

  • Avoid bringing any coded information or formulas that are accessible in books, notes, study materials, or other printed sources.
  • Refrain from carrying programmable calculators, especially CASIO FX991ES and CASIO FX-991ES plus, as well as any calculators with embedded functions.
  • Do not bring cellular phones, earplugs, transmitters, portable computers, smartwatches, Bluetooth devices, or any other electronic gadgets that can be used for communication.
  • Leave all types of bags at home or elsewhere.
  • Do not bring any examination aids that are not explicitly permitted.
  • What is the recommended attire for exam day?

  • Male examinees should wear a white polo shirt with a collar (without any seals, logos, or markings), tucked in, along with appropriate pants or slacks.
  • Female examinees should wear a white blouse or shirt with a collar (without any seals, logos, or markings), tucked in, paired with suitable pants or slacks.


COVID-19 Exam Day Safety Measures

During the PRC licensure exams, it is imperative to adhere to the following precautionary health and safety guidelines:

  • Maintain a minimum physical distance of two (2) meters between examinees.
  • Examinees must remain seated in their assigned seats.
  • Consistently wear a face mask, preferably a 3-ply surgical mask or an N95 mask, along with a face shield.
  • Carry 70% ethyl alcohol for regular hand disinfection.
  • Refrain from engaging in close physical contact, such as cheek-to-cheek greetings, hugs, handshakes, or direct physical contact with others.
  • Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth.
  • When sneezing or coughing, use facial tissues to cover your nose and mouth, and dispose of used tissues appropriately.
  • Do not spit in public areas, on the floor, or in hallways.
