The results of the Real Estate Appraiser Exam for September 2023 are anticipated to be published by September 11, 2023, or within three working days following the conclusion of the licensure exam.

The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) administered the licensure examination on September 6, 2023, at various testing centers located in Metro Manila, Baguio, Butuan, Cagayan de Oro, Cebu, Davao, Iloilo, Legazpi, and Tacloban.

The licensure examination encompassed a wide range of subjects, including:


Foundational Aspects of Real Estate Appraisal


Fundamentals of real estate principles and practices

Adherence to standards and ethical considerations

Philippine Valuation Standard

International Valuation Standard

National Code of Ethics (DTI)

Theories and principles relevant to appraisal

Consideration of human and physical geography

Understanding of real estate finance and economics

Knowledge of land management systems and real property laws, including PD 957, BP 220, Family Code, Government Assessment Principles/Taxation (R.A. 7160, Manual on Real Property Appraisal and Assessment Operations, Guide Book on Mass Appraisal), RESA 9646/IRR, RA 7279, Agri-Law, CARPER, Condominium Act/RA 4726, REIT Law (RA 9856), and other laws impacting the real estate domain.

Proficiency in Professional Appraisal Practices

Mastery of appraisal approach methodologies

Skill in valuation procedures and research techniques

Competence in practical appraisal mathematics, encompassing statistics and basic mathematical concepts

Proficiency in crafting comprehensive appraisal reports

Capability to appraise machinery and equipment

Application of knowledge through case studies

Specialized valuation expertise

Proficiency in government assessment principles and taxation (application and computation)

Familiarity with Geographical Information System (GIS), including map reading and plotting

Staying informed about current events relevant to the field.

To initiate the registration process, individuals are recommended to complete their registration online via the official Professional Regulation Commission website, adhering to the provided online registration instructions.

The prescribed registration prerequisites include: the Notice of Admission (solely for identification purposes); the properly filled-out Oath Form or "Panunumpa ng Propesyonal"; two passport-sized ID photographs with a white backdrop and a complete name tag; two sets of documentary stamps; and a single short brown envelope.

Moreover, candidates who have passed the licensure examination are obliged to personally enroll and affix their signature in the "Roster of Registered Professionals."


The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) announces that 596 out of 849 passed the Real Estate Appraisers Licensure Examination given by the Board of Real Estate Service in N. C. R., Baguio, Butuan, Cagayan de Oro, Cebu, Davao, Iloilo, Legazpi and Tacloban this September 2023.


The members of the Board of Real Estate Service who gave the licensure examination are Hon. Ofelia C. Binag, Chairman; Hon. Rafael M. Fajardo, Hon. Jose Arnold M. Tan and Hon. Pilar M. Torres-Banaag, Members.


The results were released in three (3) working days after the said examination.


From October 23 to October 24, 2023, registration for the issuance of Professional Identification Card (ID) and Certificate of Registration will be done on-line.  Please go to www.prc.gov.ph and follow instructions for initial registration.  Those who will register are required to bring the following: downloaded duly accomplished Oath Form or Panunumpa ng Propesyonal, notice of admission (for identification only), 2 pieces passport sized pictures (colored with white background and complete name tag), 2 sets of documentary stamps and 1 piece short brown envelope.    


All registrants are likewise required to submit an original copy of Surety Bond for three ( 3 ) years (with certificate of good standing from the Insurance Commission), minimum amount of which is P 20,000.00, with the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) as Obligee. For government employees, no Surety Bond is required, but instead, submission of a notarized original Certificate of Employment showing that such appraiser license is an eligibility requirement of his/her employment from their respective offices.


Successful examinees should personally register and sign in the Roster of Registered Professionals.


The date and venue for the oathtaking ceremony of the new successful examinees in the said examination WILL BE ANNOUNCED LATER.

The PRC may release the September 2023 Real Estate Appraiser Exam results either before or after the anticipated date, and they may do so without advance notification.
