In an effort to streamline the registration process for obtaining a Professional Identification Card (ID) and Certificate of Registration, a forthcoming update will transition the registration procedure to an online platform. To initiate the registration process, individuals are advised to visit the official website at www.prc.gov.ph and meticulously adhere to the provided instructions for the initial registration.
As part of the registration requirements, applicants are obligated to present the subsequent documents:
A downloaded and duly completed Oath Form or Panunumpa ng Propesyonal.
Notice of admission (solely for identification purposes).
Two recent passport-sized photographs, exhibiting a colored background with a white backdrop and a clearly visible name tag.
Two sets of documentary stamps.
One piece of a short brown envelope.
It is essential for successful examination candidates to undertake the registration procedure in person and personally inscribe their names in the Roster of Registered Professionals.
Details encompassing the date and venue for the commencement of the oathtaking ceremonies for newly successful examinees in the aforementioned examination will be communicated at a later time.
The process of verifying ratings achieved in the Librarian board exam can now be conveniently conducted through online means. To initiate this verification, individuals are required to access the "Verification of Rating" service provided by the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) and furnish the necessary information to authenticate their identity. It's important to note that this online verification service becomes accessible within a few working days subsequent to the announcement of the examination results.
As for the scope of the examination, it spanned across a duration of two days and encompassed a comprehensive array of subjects. The topics examined on the first day included library organization and management, reference services, bibliography management, as well as user services, in addition to indexing and abstracting. Transitioning to the second day, the examination focused on subjects such as cataloging and classification, the process of selection and acquisition, and the domain of information technology.

The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) announces that 555 out of 886 passed the Librarians Licensure Examination given by the Board for Librarians in N. C. R., Baguio, Cagayan de Oro, Cebu, Davao, Iloilo, Legazpi, Lucena, Rosales, Tacloban, Tuguegarao and Zamboanga this September 2023.
The members of the Board for Librarians who gave the licensure examination are Hon. Yolanda C. Granda, Chairman and Hon. Lourdes T. David, Member.
The results were released in three (3) working days after the last day of examination.
From October 18 to October 19, 2023, registration for the issuance of Professional Identification Card (ID) and Certificate of Registration will be done on-line. Please go to www.prc.gov.ph and follow instructions for initial registration. Those who will register are required to bring the following: downloaded duly accomplished Oath Form or Panunumpa ng Propesyonal, notice of admission (for identification only), 2 pieces passport sized pictures (colored with white background and complete name tag), 2 sets of documentary stamps and 1 piece short brown envelope. Successful examinees should personally register and sign in the Roster of Registered Professionals.
The date and venue for the oathtaking ceremonies of the new successful examinees in the said examination WILL BE ANNOUNCED LATER.
