The scope of the mining engineering board exam encompassed various essential subjects across three main categories. The first category, Mining Engineering I, delved into crucial areas such as Mineral Prospecting and Evaluation, Mine Planning, Design, and Development, Mining Methods, Mine Safety, Health, and Ventilation, Rock Mechanics in Mine Engineering, and Environmental Protection and Impact Mitigation. The second category, Mining Engineering II, included topics like Mine Valuation, Mine Management, Ethics and Mining Laws, Applied Mathematics and Surveying, Feasibility Studies, Computer Applications, and General Information. Lastly, Mining Engineering III comprised subjects such as General Geology, Mineralogy/Petrology, Economic Geology, Structural Geology, Principles of Metallurgy, Mineral Processing, Assaying, and Ecology. These comprehensive subject areas collectively formed the mining engineering board exam coverage.


The results for the Mining Engineering Board Exam of August 2023 might be made public by the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) either earlier or later than the initially anticipated date of release, and this timing could change without any prior notification.

For the registration process, all aspiring examinees are strongly advised to complete their registration online via the official website of the Professional Regulation Commission. This process involves following the outlined steps for online registration.

The list of necessary requirements for registration includes a Notice of Admission which is to be used solely for identification purposes, a properly filled Oath Form or "Panunumpa ng Propesyonal," two recent passport-sized ID photos captured against a white background and bearing a complete name tag, two sets of documentary stamps, and finally, one piece of a short brown envelope.

SUMMARY OF EXAM RESULTS
The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) announces that 242 out of 351 passed the Mining Engineers Licensure Examination given by the Board of Mining Engineering in N. C. R., Baguio, Butuan, Cebu, Davao and Legazpi this August 2023.

The members of the Board of Mining Engineering who gave the licensure examination are Hon. Ramon N. Santos, Chairman; Hon. Rufino B. Bomasang and Hon. Augusto C. Villaluna, Members.

From October 23 to October 25, 2023, registration for the issuance of Professional Identification Card (ID) and Certificate of Registration will be done on-line.  Please go to www.prc.gov.ph and follow instructions for initial registration.  Those who will register are required to bring the following: downloaded duly accomplished Oath Form or Panunumpa ng Propesyonal, notice of admission (for identification only), 2 pieces passport sized pictures (colored with white background and complete name tag), 2 sets of documentary stamps and 1 piece short brown envelope.  Successful examinees should personally register and sign in the Roster of Registered Professionals.
