The schedule for registering new Criminologists and obtaining their Professional ID and Certificate of Registration through online appointments has been outlined. The specific dates for registration will be announced in due course. Individuals registering for the first time are instructed to complete their registration process online by visiting the official PRC website at https://online.prc.gov.ph/ and following the step-by-step instructions provided for online registration. The necessary registration documents include the Notice of Admission/NOA (for identification purposes only), a duly accomplished Oath Form or Panunumpa ng Propesyonal, two passport-sized ID photos with a complete name tag, two sets of documentary stamps, and one short brown envelope. Additionally, PRC emphasizes that those who have successfully passed the examination must complete the registration in person and add their signature to the Roster of Registered Professionals.
The process of verifying ratings and test outcomes for the Criminologist licensure exams, administered by the PRC Board of Criminology, will be accessible through an online platform a few business days after the results are published. Individuals who have successfully passed the exam can utilize the Verification Page on the official PRC website to determine their performance in the board examination. To accomplish this, passers are required to input the exam name, examination date, application number, first and last names, as well as their birth date.
Those who have succeeded in the exam and wish to participate in the in-person oath-taking event, they must register by 12:00 PM on the day preceding the scheduled oath-taking date via the website http://online.prc.gov.ph to confirm their attendance. On the day of the oath-taking, participants must bring their Vaccination Card or negative RT-PCR results obtained within 48 hours before the event. It is advisable for inductees to register and confirm their attendance in the region where they took the licensure exam and intend to practice as professionals.

The Criminologist Board Exams in August 2023 encompassed a comprehensive range of topics essential for aspiring criminology professionals. These subjects included Criminal Jurisprudence, Procedure, and Evidence, which delved into criminal law books I and II, as well as criminal procedure, evidence, and court testimony. Another crucial area of examination was Law Enforcement Administration, covering police organization, administration, planning, industrial security, patrol operations, communication systems, intelligence, personnel management, and records handling, alongside a comparative study of various police systems.
The field of Criminalistics was also addressed, encompassing personal identification, police photography, forensic ballistics, questioned document examination, polygraph lie detection, and legal medicine. Furthermore, the curriculum extended to Crime Detection and Investigation, which offered insights into the fundamentals of criminal investigation, traffic and accident investigation, special crime handling, organized crime inquiries, drug education, vice control, fire technology, and arson investigation.
Sociology of Crimes and Ethics was an integral part, introducing students to criminology and the psychology of crimes, the Philippine criminal justice system, ethical considerations, values, juvenile delinquency, human behavior, crisis management, criminological research, and statistical analysis. Lastly, the examinations covered Correctional Administration, encompassing both institutional and non-institutional aspects of corrections. These diverse subjects collectively provided a thorough and well-rounded assessment of candidates' knowledge and readiness for a career in criminology.
The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) announces that 5,743 out of 17,576 passed the Licensure Examination for Criminologists given by the Board of Criminology last August 2023 in 31 testing centers all over the Philippines. The results of examination with respect to three (3) examinees were withheld pending final determination of their liabilities under the rules and regulations governing licensure examinations.

The results were released in fourteen (14) working days from the last day of examination.
On November 3, November 6 - 10 and November 13 - 15, 2023, registration for the issuance of Professional Identification Card (ID) and Certificate of Registration will be done on-line. Please go to www.prc.gov.ph and follow instructions for initial registration. Those who will register are required to bring the following: downloaded duly accomplished Oath Form or Panunumpa ng Propesyonal, notice of admission (for identification only), 2 pieces passport sized pictures (colored with white background and complete name tag), 2 sets of documentary stamps and 1 piece short brown envelope. Successful examinees should personally register and sign in the Roster of Registered Professionals.
