During the Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) 2022 Parade of Stars, Unkabogable Star Vice Ganda and Ultimate Multimedia Star Toni Gonzaga were seen embracing each other in a moment that caught the attention of spectators.
Both Vice and Toni have films in this year's festival: Vice stars in Partners in Crime with Ivana Alawi, which is produced by Star Cinema and directed by Cathy Garcia-Molina, while Toni's entry is My Teacher with Joey de Leon, directed by her husband Paul Soriano and produced by Ten17P and Tincan Productions.
The parade, which took place on December 21, featured floats for each film and included a stop at the Quezon Memorial Circle for a program. During the parade, Vice climbed up onto Toni's float and the two hugged, seemingly putting to rest any rumors that their friendship had been affected by their support for different presidential candidates in the recent election.
Netizens shared their thoughts on the moment on Twitter. All the films in the MMFF 2022 will be released in cinemas on December 25, with hopes that the festival will help revive the movie industry.
