Former Vice President Leni Robredo will join the Obama Foundation's Democracy Forum.

Former Vice President Leni Robredo announced on Friday that she will participate in the Obama Foundation's Democracy Forum alongside former US President Barack Obama.

The Obama Foundation is a Chicago-based non-profit organization formed by the former US president that offers a variety of leadership, scholarship, and other initiatives.

"Despite the challenges we confront, democracy will always find a home in the hearts of our people—something we must safeguard for the sake of our future." "I am thrilled to announce that I will be joining President Barack Obama at the Obama Foundation #DemocracyForum on November 17," Robredo said on Facebook.

Other speakers at the discussion include Pulitzer Prize-winning New York Times writer Nikole Hannah-Jones and US Representative Ro Khanna.

"The Forum will draw attention to the most pressing issues that democratic institutions confront today and exhibit democracy in action across the world." "We will bring together hundreds of rising leaders from across Obama Foundation initiatives, prominent scholars, and practitioners who are reinventing our institutions and preserving democratic principles," the Obama Foundation stated on its website.

Robredo was previously named a Hauser Leader at the Harvard Kennedy School's Center for Public Leadership.

She conducted lectures and interacted with students as a Hauser leader.
