Robredo's Angat Buhay is Filing a Lawsuit Against Badoy for 'Red Tagging'

Former Vice President Leni Robredo's Angat Buhay Foundation is considering legal action against former anti-communist task force spokesman Lorraine Badoy after she reportedly connected the group to communist insurgents. Angat Pinas Inc. issued a statement on Friday.

According to Executive Director Raphael Magno, the foundation's supporters are members of the Communist Party of the Philippines, the New People's Army, and the National Democratic Front (CPP-NPA-NDF).

Badoy, who appeared on an SMNI network show last Monday, stated that communists are "truly working hard with their recruiting" before bringing up the foundation, hinting that Angat Buhay is in charge of young people who have become rebel fighters.

"We strongly denounce and categorically refute Lorraine Badoy's charges against Angat Buhay in a cable television broadcast on July 4, 2022." "Her charges are absolutely unsubstantiated and incorrect, and worse, they incite harassment of our employees, volunteers, and partners," Magno stated.
