PPCRV found 4 ‘questionable’ copies of ERs from Masbate, Quezon,& Cebu

PPCRV discovered four 'questionable' copies of ERs in Masbate, Quezon, and Cebu. These will be referred to Comelec for review.

“Whether ito ay resulta ng dayaan or anuman, di namin masabi. Pero dapat may baguhin or imbestigahan para maipaliwanag satin.” PPCRV spox Dela Cruz said.

The Commission on Elections announced Saturday that it is investigating four suspicious copies of election results (ERs) from three provinces that were previously highlighted by the Parish Pastoral Council for Responsible Voting.

Previously, the non-profit group stated that there were four copies of ERs with anomalies, which were created from polling stations in Masbate, Quezon, and Cebu.

"Investigation’s underway. We are awaiting the formal report of the ITD," he said on Saturday.

ERs are printed by vote-counting machines and include the vote counts in the national and local polls in a specific precinct (VCMs). Comelec Commissioner John Rex Laudiangco stated that the issue has been transmitted to the steering committee and the IT department (ITD).

He emphasized that these are early findings and promised that the complete conclusions of the study will be released soon.

The Comelec is investigating abandoned voting materials in Cavite. The electoral commission is looking into tweets that disclosed photos and a video of election records reportedly left out on a barren lot in Amadeo, Cavite. Rodne Galicha, an environmentalist, raised the issue on Friday, stating that the documents were from the Tondo precincts.
